How Low Can the UK Stock Market Go
As the UK stock market remains close to its six-year low point of 3,512, investors are asking whether that marks the bottom, or whether the market will crash down through its recent low.
Paul Kavanagh, a partner at Killik & Co, the stockbroker, thinks the market will go lower and that investors are in for a bumpy ride in the next few months before shares can move higher.
Jeremy Batstone, head of research at Charles Stanley, another stockbroker, agrees that times are tough, but thinks the market may already have touched bottom. He thinks we could be in for some sharp bounces later in the year.
